OUR COACHES
Coach Erin
Coach Andrea
At first glance, Andrea looks sweet and almost seems gentle. She is quick to smile and her dimples appear giving the viewer the impression she won’t be a tough coach, but just wait…she is one of the toughest people and trainers you will ever meet! Andrea has a masters degree in social work as well as being a National Academy of Sports Medicine certified personal trainer. Her passion as a spin coach has introduced us all to a new way to cross train and push our bodies! Her knowledge of nutrition, kinesiology, and motivating people make her a spectacular trainer and coach! Andrea is also the accountability coach at Fast Fitness in the Loo-she will help you stay on track with your personal health goals.
Coach Roo
Like Kelly, Roo began her coaching career as a member of Fast Fitness. Joy and warmth radiate from her and touch each person she coaches! Coach Roo’s real name is Renee, but when you see her jump, you’ll understand why we call her Roo! Ask her about her journey…she will tell you that she was worth the work! She will also tell you that the journey never ends! She coaches with that same belief in each member! Roo is our resident chef and loves to prepare healthy meals and snacks! If you need any recipe ideas or inspiration, talk to Coach Roo!
Coach Sarah
Otherwise known as our yoga guru, Sarah is a certified yoga instructor who brings her calm, but bad-ass self, to make us all more thoughtful versions of ourselves! Being a driven bootcamper herself, you will often find her drenched in sweat and enjoying a good workout! Sarah understands that most of us have a tendency to just push harder and faster, but she reminds us to take time to be mindful, deliberate, and present! She has taught us all to honor that part of our journey that needs to center and be still!
Coach Christene
I have the pleasure of working with all these amazing coaches! They teach me so much every day! I have my masters in special education, but have always had a part-time fitness job on the side since my college days and during my time in the army. I am a National Academy of Sports Medicine certified personal trainer and youth exercise specialist. Coaching at Fast Fitness in the Loo is my dream job and I feel blessed beyond measure to be a part of such a spectacular group of people committed to being their best selves and living their best lives!
Coach Jill
Just like Sarah and Madi, Jill’s “real job” is a teacher! Lucky for us, she is willing to have a side gig and share her love of fitness! Jill is a testimony to how important nutrition is when you want to make changes in your body! She has always been fit, but these past years has learned what works best for her body and continues to improve and get both stronger and leaner. She might truly be the sweetest coach we have!
Coach Spence
Coach Spence is a retired Army officer who brings age and wisdom to his classes! More age than wisdom, according to his wife! Spence is enjoying his second retirement from teaching JROTC at Cahokia High School and is ready to be 49% involved in our Waterloo IL gym! (that’s how much of the gym he owns-you can guess who owns the other 51%). Spence has coached high school basketball and tennis, and at 63, still participates in these sports. He is proof that exercise can help you age well!
Coach Mary
Do not let her gentle, calm demeanor fool you…underneath those glasses and warmth is superwoman! Coach Mary started as a member changing her life with our program. She has now found her second calling after retiring as a labor and delivery nurse after 30 years. Mary has a quiet strength and she specializes in helping women realize their own strength! She is a National Academy of Sports Medicine certified Senior Fitness Specialist and she works with our Not So Fast Members!
Coach Sharon
Coach Sharon started as a member of Fast Fitness and although she initially seemed shy and quiet, her strength and perseverance were evident! Sharon’s commitment to being her best self is part of what makes her a great role model for our fitness family! She is not flashy or overly loud (unless she is dressed like Madonna at Drag Queen Bingo). but she is kind, compassionate and just one of those really great humans!
Coach Kelly
Kelly started here as a member and if you’ve ever watched her work out you’d be in awe! Her work ethic is unsurpassed and lucky for us, she brings that same energy to her coaching! Kelly was a college basketball scholarship recipient and is part of the WHS girls basketball coaching staff. We are fortunate she is willing to be a part of the Fast Fitness in the Loo coaching team and that she pushes us all beyond our comfort zones with her intensity and drive! Don’t let her scare you, she is one of the most thoughtful people you’ll ever meet! And boy can she dance!
